My brother James was born in Yorkshire on the 19th April 1973. He attended the local catholic primary and secondary school from the ages of 5 until 18. He was always very academically minded from a young age and interested in all sports. He represented his school at various sporting events and continued to play sports into his early twenties. After having his own children he went on to coaching cricket and other sports.
He achieved 10 A’s at GCSE level and went on to study 4 A levels and then further study for a degree in Economics and business at University. After graduating University with a degree in business studies and economics he travelled to Australia and Indonesia for a year before coming home to take up a few different roles before settling into the recruitment business, where he spent the remainder of his working life.
His work ethic was exemplary. Always first in and last out on any working day. His attention to detail was second to none and his commitment to his boys and their sporting activities saw both of his Sons playing cricket for Yorkshire.
He worked as an employee in a recruitment company and as a business owner employing around 30 people at it’s peak. He continued to work with his Son in recruitment until he sadly took his own life on the 1st Novemebr 2025.
